Stanford Law School invites SLS alumni to a panel discussion on immigration with:
· Congressman Xavier Becerra (BA '80, JD '84), California's 34th congressional district
· Kathleen Kim (JD '02), Loyola Professor of Law, Torts, Immigration Law, and Human Trafficking
· Alvaro Huerta (JD '10), Attorney, National Immigration Law Center
· Michael Kaufman (BA '03, JD '07), Attorney, ACLU of Southern California
This discussion is very timely in light of the current status of immigration reform efforts in Washington, D.C., as well as recent legal and public policy developments in the immigration area. Congressman Becerra is the Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, and one of the most knowledgeable people in Congress on immigration-related matters.
Cost: $10 includes appetizers, wine, beer, soda, and valet parking.
