New Advances in our Understanding of Food Allergy

Food allergy is common and life threatening. One out of 13 children and 1 out of 25 adults suffer from food allergies. With an average of 6% of the population [adults and children; (CDC, 2009 Census)] being affected by food allergy, and with a doubling of prevalence over the last 10 years, the disease of food allergy is an epidemic. New studies have shown that it is less likely that a child will lose their food allergies in adulthood and therefore more and more adults have life threatening food allergies.

7:30 PM: Presentation by Prof. Nadeau, dessert and coffee
