Escape the summer heat of the city and enjoy the company of fellow alumni in the mountains in LA's backyard. Hike through pine forest to reach the summit of Mt. Islip, with spectacular views over the San Gabriels and Los Angeles. The hike is 7 miles round trip with a 1,500-foot elevation gain--rated moderate.
