Boston Philharmonic Orchestra Discovery Concert

The ultimate in musical exploration, the Discovery Series offers the listener a guide to the music as part of the concert experience.  Benjamin Zander engages the audience with illuminating and entertaining commentary immediately before the performance of each piece on the program, joined by the orchestra to illustrate points with musical examples. Maestro Zander pours his passion and energy into bringing music alive for the novice and the experienced music lover alike.

In this Discovery Concert, Maestro Zander leads the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2, Mozart Overture to Cosi fan Tutte, and Mozart Sinfonia Concertante, and features two supreme soloists:  violinist Miriam Fried and violist Kim Kashkashian.
