Everyone knows we have great beaches but even locals are surprised to hear that San Diego is quickly becoming the beer capitol of the US with microbreweries popping up every month in the most unlikely places. Beer tasting is about the entire experience, the ambiance of the brewery, the friendliness of the staff, and learning more about the beers you're drinking. But with so many breweries, which ones are the best? Which are the BEST breweries in San Diego?
This year the Stanford Alumni Club of San Diego will be continuing our exploration of San Diego's best micro breweries. We will visit a variety of breweries for tours and beer tastings throughout the year.
Our next stop will be O'Sullivan Bros. Brewing Co. in Scripps Ranch. Founded by 5 brothers who thought it would be fun to pull the family together and make some tasty brew, O'Sullivan Bros. is a true labor of love. Although they've only been operating for a few months, the beer has been very well received and has already made several critics' top 50 lists.
