Phillip Phillips at Bing Concert Hall

Since his 2012 American Idol victory, the rootsy singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips has taken America by storm with hits like “Home” (the best selling "coronation" song inAmerican Idol history) and “Gone, Gone, Gone.” Phillips kicks Stanford Live's summer off with cellist Dave Eggar, a classically trained virtuoso who has collaborated with the likes of Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Patti Smith, and Esperanza Spalding.

Come early, stay late! Picnic dinners (with a selection of salads, sandwiches, and other light bites) will be available for pre-order when you purchase your concert tickets. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for cafe service.

Opening Act: Singer-songwriter Olivia Davis will perform a 30-minute set at 7:00 p.m. in the Gunn Atrium.
