Using intelligent tutoring systems, virtual laboratories, simulations, and enhanced opportunities for assessment and feedback, The Open Learning Initiative (OLI) is creating and evaluating new approaches to accelerate lifelong educational achievement in and beyond classrooms. In this talk, Professor Thille will demonstrate how the science of learning helps produce high-quality learning environments. She will present examples, discuss results from several research studies, and describe the next phase of OLI at Stanford University.
