Stanford Volunteers at Girl Scouts Cookie Mega Drop

Join fellow alums in our first community service event for the year. Come help local Girl Scouts at their annual “Mega Drop” where thousands of cookies for the Sacramento region are distributed to the local Girl Scout troops. Assignments include loading cases into vehicles and counting cases being loaded. Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes and be able to stand for an extended period of time. Children 13 years and older are welcome to participate. We will meet in the parking lot at 8:45 am and start our volunteer shift at 9 am. We encourage you to stay for the full 3 hours but if you are not able to volunteer for the entire time, drop-ins are welcome. Afterwards we will meet up at a local eatery for lunch (optional). Let’s have fun while we show that Stanford is also about giving back to our community at this and other events during the year.
