Join us for a morning outdoors. Enjoy hands-on activities that will enrich our environment and leave you with a smile! Support Acterra Stewardship’s ongoing efforts to increase wildlife diversity at Foothills Park. During our morning together we will “reverse water” our hillside by removing Yellowstar Thistle - a water thirsty non-native invasive plant species. Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and dress for the outdoors (sturdy closed-toed shoes, long pants, and a hat). We will provide gloves, tools, and some snacks.
Participants are asked to bring their own bag lunch. If you have gardening tools and/or a sowing machine to lend, they will be useful to our project work.
