EXCITING UPDATE: The VIP tour will now also be joined by Rick West, Autry Museum President & CEO, Stanford Law School alum ’71, and founding director of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Join the Art Lovers' Society for an exclusive VIP tour of 3 art exhibits at the Autry Museum with Autry trustee Michael Heumann, MBA '72. You may think the Autry is for grade school field trips, but there is much, much more!  We will explore 3 fascinating art exhibits: (1) Recent Acquisitions of the Kaufman Collection of Western Art, including Remington bronzes, (2) highlights of California Impressionist paintings from the Gardena High School collection, the result of four decades of gifts of paintings given by each class of graduating seniors, and (3) Revolutionary Vision, a photography show featuring works by Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, Richard Misrach, Edward Weston, and others who present changing visions of the Western landscape. Michael is a longtime trustee of both the Autry and its predecessor the historic Southwest Museum, is a noted collector of Native American art, and heads the Art Law team at Nossaman LLP (http://nossaman.com/artlaw). We are in for a special treat for Stanford art lovers! After our tour, anyone interested can join us in the museum cafe where refreshments can be purchased, and we can relax and chat with fellow Art Lovers about what we have seen.
