The Stanford Black Alumni of Boston invites you to join your fellow alumni for a day of cultural enrichment and social connection at the Ethelbert Cooper Gallery of African and African American Art in Cambridge. The Cooper Gallery Director is Stanford alumnus Vera Ingrid Grant.
Take a tour of the gallery and view the works of art on display in the show THE WOVEN ARC which explores the visual dialogues between an unusual selection of artworks not usually posed in conversation with each other: figurative and abstract sculptures, paintings, prints, and textiles along with mixed media and performance-based video.
Enjoy drinks and refreshments in the social hour at the gallery as you get acquainted with other alumni at a private mixer in a reserved space. For those who would like to continue to mix and mingle after the event, a group of alumni will meet at Grafton Street Pub & Grill in Cambridge after 5 pm for more food and drinks and social interaction.
