Hike: Foothills Park

Hike the Los Trancos Trail, a strenuous and sometimes exposed 7.5 mile loop with a 985 foot elevation gain and great views.  Check in at the park entrance and meet at the interpretive center.  Bring water and lunch; no bathroom on trail.  This trip is offered for strong hikers.  Carpooling is encouraged.

Check in at the ranger station on the morning of the hike then meet at the Interpretive Center at 8:45 am  for a prompt 9:00 am start.

To reach Foothills Park take the Page Mill Road exit off of I-280.  Take Page Mill Road west for 2.5 miles.  The park entrance is on your right.   Click on the "Map address" link above to display a map showing the location of the park entrance.

To carpool take the page Mill Road exit off of 280.  Meet at 8:20 am in the Page Mill Road park and ride lot located at the south west corner of the intersection of Page Mill Road and I-280.  Look for a white Ford pickup and someone wearing a straw hat
