Jazz Dinner Dance

The Stanford Club of Great Britain is holding a 1920's jazz era dinner dance party on 17th September at the atmospheric Royal Automobile Club. The club building was completed in the early 20th Century, just before the dawn of the Jazz Age, and boasted innovations such as hydraulic lifts, central heating, air conditioning, 120 telephone lines, gas flares to illuminate the front of the building, and electric lighting. At the time of the building's completion. Vanity Fair described the clubhouse as being 'on a scale of grandeur absolutely unparalleled anywhere.'

Specialty cocktails and a dinner buffet will be served, and a live jazz band will provide tunes for those who wish to dance the night away. Dress is black tie - vintage attire encouraged.
