Get ready for a trip back to high school English class! For our October meeting we will be reading and discussing Lord of the Flies by William Golding, the allegorical tale of a doomed society. While the vast majority of us have read this book before, the group selected it because of it's many references observed in recent literature and the feeling that in today's world the novel is as relevant as ever. We will also discuss The Matrix (1999), and it's commentary on society. If you haven't seen The Matrix before or if it's been awhile consider watching it again... I anticipate one of our best discussions ever, and we look forward to seeing you at the October book (multimedia) club meeting!
