Stanford alumni, parents and guests,
Stanford had a SUPERB season last year and is widely expected to repeat the success! The Cardinal football team will be challenging UofA in the Arizona Stadium for the first time since 2011, and the Stanford Club of Southern Arizona is planning a tailgate party before the game (time TBD). This will be a great opportunity to watch Christian McCaffrey, a runner up for the Heisman Trophy last year -- who could be the winner this year! We are inviting Stanford alums, parents, and guests from all parts of Arizona as well as outside the state to attend. In 2011 we welcomed 170 folks to the party – and we want YOU to join us this year.
TIME: TBD The tailgate party will start 2½ hours before the game and end 30 minutes before it begins, but as usual these days, the exact time of the game will probably not be announced until a week before the game. Stay tuned. Yes, we do understand that we require an RSVP before you might even know the time of the game.
MENU:
Adults—Beef Brisket or Pulled Chicken sandwiches, charro beans, salad, lemonade and cookies; Chef’s Choice vegetarian or vegan options available by request with RSVP. Kids 12 and younger: plated meal of chicken fingers, French fries, and fresh fruit. Please note: if the game is scheduled for late morning we can substitute a brunch-type menu.
Adult Beverages/Soda: Cash bars available in the room: wine $8, domestic beer $4, imported beer $5, soft drinks $4.
ADMISSION ENTRANCE FEE: Please note we have expenses beyond the food and our club & SAA are subsidizing attendance at all prices.
