In honor of Mole Day we'll be heading underground to explore the tunnels of Bronson Canyon!  No worries if you're claustrophobic though, this is just a small part of a 3-mile hike through Griffith Park.

So what is Mole Day?  As a member of Nerd Nation, you may recall that a mole is the number of atoms in 12 grams of Carbon-12, expressed by Avogadro's number, roughly equal to 6.02 * 1023.  Thus we celebrate on 10/23.  Mole Day!

We will be joined by a few students from Cal State Long Beach who will film part of the hike for a virtual reality project on the ways blind people experience the world.

Important note:  Please check back here before the hike to make sure it has not been cancelled for any reason.  If we do need to cancel, we will post a message here by 8am.
