Tina Seelig: Innovation is Not Brain Surgery

Tina Seelig, PhD ’85, is a professor of the practice in management science and engineering and faculty director of Stanford Technology Ventures Program, the entrepreneurship center at the School of Engineering. She teaches classes on creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in management science and engineering and at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, the d.school. Professor Seelig has written 17 popular books, including “What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20,” “inGenius” and “Insight Out.” She is the recipient of several national awards including the Gordon Prize from the National Academy of Engineering, recognizing her as a national leader in engineering education.
