HBO Premiere Viewing Party for Insecure, starring our very own Issa Rae, '07
Kick back and enjoy some laughs with fellow alumni as we mix and mingle and watch the premiere of the new HBO series created by our very own Issa Rae, ’07—Insecure. Inspired by her award-winning web series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl, Issa explores the black female experience in an authentic way while trying to figure-out what she wants in life and how to take control of it. Insecure also touches on social and racial issues that relate to the contemporary black experience. Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
