Join Zach Brown (PhD, Stanford University) as he speaks about climate change in the Arctic and his effort to create an institute for education and research in Alaska. Through photos and stories, Zach will take you on a journey to the Arctic Ocean, where receding sea ice is changing life for biological communities and indigenous peoples, and where industrial expansion threatens a fragile ecosystem.
Hear Zach speak about his 2014 adventure trekking solo for 4 months on foot and by kayak – 2300 miles from Stanford University to the Inian Islands – to build a field school in his Alaskan homeland.
