The Supreme Court: What to Expect

The Supreme Court is rocked by change: the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, the announcement of a replacement nominee by President Trump, and an entirely new set of issues. What should we watch for and expect?

Monterey Bay Stanford Club is pleased to invite you to an event featuring Michael W. McConnell, the Richard and Frances Mallery Professor and director of the Constitutional Law Center at Stanford Law School. We are fortunate to have a current Stanford professor come speak to our club at the beautiful Seascape Golf Club in Aptos. You'll enjoy a buffet brunch, network with alumni and friends of Stanford, and learn from a current Stanford faculty member.

Faculty speakers provide intellectual stimulation, reflect the ongoing excellence of the Stanford faculty, and offer a means for alumni to connect with each other and to the University. Members of the faculty visit the Monterey Bay Stanford Club twice a year to discuss timely and diverse topics and to extend the theory and discourse being taught in Stanford’s classrooms to alumni. It’s a chance for alumni to engage with outstanding faculty, administrators, alumni and students on a broad range of topics in a wide selection of disciplines.
