Join alum Alison Carpenter Davis, '79 as she reads from and discusses her delightful, interesting and engaging book, "Letters Home from Stanford." From first letters home freshman year and firsthand accounts of historical events to questions about laundry and questions about self, this collection of Stanford students' letters, emails and texts over the past 125 years evokes a sense of the heritage, history and shared experience common to college students everywhere, and Stanford students in particular. Walk the Quad with Lucy in 1891 and Laine in 2016, live history as Hope celebrates the end of WW1, throw snowballs with Elaine in 1962 . . . the list goes on. Some things change. Others? Not so much. Something else that doesn't change: you're sure to enjoy the company of other Stanford alums. Don't miss this fun and interesting evening featuring Davis, her book and wine and cheese in the Santa Monica home of alum Steve Grossman, '79, P '16 and Jill Baldauf, P '16.
