Listen to an interview with our Book Salon host.

"Are we always waiting for something? Beckett wanted us to become aware of that impulse in human nature and what that waiting might be for..."

About this quarter's book selection

Debuted on the Paris stage in 1953, Samuel Beckett's play, Waiting for Godot is full of wordplay and allegories. Step into the shade of a tree with Vladimir and Estragon, two vagrants who are waiting for the mysterious Godot.

Travel with them through their stream on conscienouness as they debate the age-old question, what is the meaning of life? Considered a classic and foundational piece of modern day theatre, Beckett's brief play is sure to delight.
