Margot Gerritsen

PhD '97, associate professor, Energy Resources Engineer

Margot Gerritsen, associate professor of energy resources engineering and director of the Institute for Computational & Mathematical Engineering, has expertise in mathematical and computational modeling of energy and fluid flow processes. 

She teaches courses in energy and the environment, computational mathematics and computing. Professor Gerritsen frequently advises policy makers and venture capitalists about energy issues, and she runs an energy podcast site at smartenergyshow.wordpress.com. Margot earned a MSc in applied mathematics from the University of Technology in Delft, Netherlands, and a PhD in scientific computing and computational mathematics from Stanford.
