Jennifer Wolf

Director - Undergraduate Major

Jennifer Wolf, MAT '91, PhD '05, is a lecturer in the School of Education and in the Program in Human Biology and director of the undergraduate minor in education. At Stanford since 2008, she previously taught high school English and drama in underserved California public high schools for fifteen years.

Wolf examines the role of literature and the arts in learning, with a particular interest in adolescents who are reluctant to let their out-of-school gifts and talents surface in school settings. She teaches research methodology courses for the School of Education and the Human Biology department, as well as a course on the young adult novel.

Her interests include the role of literature and the arts in learning. In 2010, she received the Lloyd W. Dinkelspiel Award for Undergraduate Education for creating and directing the new undergraduate minor in education.
