Designing for Inclusion and Belonging: Reducing Otherness in Schools
Event Details
04:00PM - 05:15PM
Feeling connected to each other and our community is more important than ever before as we start a new school year.
In this interactive workshop, we will explore strategies for how we can foster a sense of belonging in classrooms and at schools. Starting with quotes from students, we will utilize design methodologies with a specific focus on learning from historically underinvested community members. You will leave with ideas and strategies that you can use to design a classroom and school community that encourages belonging across and between lines of race, gender, socioeconomic status, ability, and gender identity.

Workshop will be held at 4:00 p.m. Pacific time.
