GSE Alumni Community Gathering
Hosted by Kia Darling-Hammond, PhD '18
With widespread interest across disciplines, “thriving” has been studied in many ways - psychological, physiological, as flourishing or well-being or resilience, and so on. There is no single accepted model. Explore the five dimensions of thriving, a composite dimension (the ability to “simply be”), and implications for those seeking to encourage thriving in the lives of others.
From Kia: "This brief workshop has three components: community-building, learning about holistic thriving, and then doing imaginative work around personal thriving possibilities with attention to how they might increase others' thriving, as well. I look forward to exploring with you!"
GSE alumni community gatherings are an opportunity for Graduate School of Education alumni to create and facilitate conversations and meet-ups for their fellow alumni. Share resources, network, and connect with the alumni community. Gatherings can focus on a topic, experience, your GSE cohort, or a gathering for a specific region or country.
