Stanford Law Professor Hank Greely studies the legal, ethical and social consequences of biotechnology.  He chairs the steering committee of the Center for Biomedical Ethics and directs the Stanford Interdisciplinary Group on Neuroscience and Society.  He is currently writing a book about a near future in which, in wealthy societies, most human offspring are conceived in vitro and subjected to genetic testing.

Sign-in and a catered reception, with wine and hors d'oeuvres, begin at 6:30 p.m.; the talk follows at 7:30.

Member fees apply to current (2011-12) members of the Stanford Club of San Diego.  To encourage early registration, all event prices will increase $5.00 per guest after Friday, October 21.

The Neurosciences Institute is located off Genesee Avenue, west of I5 and north of the UCSD campus.  After turning from Genesee north onto John Jay Hopkins, NSI is the second driveway on the left.  For parking, bear left where the driveway splits; bear right only to drop off handicapped guests.
