Join Stanford professor Bonnie Maldonado for an evening of discussion on the nature of these diseases, what leads to an outbreak, and how to protect yourself and others around you.
Yvonne "Bonnie" Maldonado, MD '81 is a professor of pediatrics and health research and policy, and chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. Her research interests in the epidemiology and prevention of pediatric infections have led to a career in prevention and treatment of perinatal HIV infection, vaccine-preventable diseases, and international health. Professor Maldonado has devoted substantial effort to teaching and training activities at Stanford University as well as in the national and international setting. She also contributes her time in Mexico with well-established Mexican pediatric infectious disease and epidemiology colleagues and as a site principal investigator for Perinatal HIV Prevention studies in Zimbabwe through NIH-funded networks.
