We are extremely fortunate to be hosting Steven (MBA ‘78, P ‘08) and Roberta Denning (’75, MBA ’78, P‘08) in Greenwich for an intimate discussion of the latest developments on campus, and Stanford's plans for the future.

Steven Denning, a member of the Stanford Board of Trustees since 2004, was elected Chairman in 2012, the first board chair selected from outside of California.  He has overseen the university’s recent growth and exciting new developments and initiatives impacting almost every area.

Roberta Denning serves as chair of both the university’s Arts Advisory Council and the Humanities and Sciences Council, and is a member of the Humanities Task Force. She been an integral part of the recent arts initiative at Stanford, which includes the inception of the Bing Concert Hall, The Anderson Collection, the McMurtry Building and Stanford's commitment to ensure that humanistic study and artistic expression are a part of every Stanford education.

Steve will share highlights on recent developments and discuss plans for future initiatives; Roberta will give an overview of the arts developments to date and what to expect going forward. Matthew Tiews, Associate Dean for the Advancement of the Arts will also be on hand to provide additional insight on Stanford’s amazing transformation in this area.

Steve and Roberta raised their family in Greenwich – and both their two children have Stanford degrees: Robert (MBA '11) and Carrie ('08, MA '09, MBA ‘15), The Dennings’ contributions to the university have been impactful and far-reaching, and they have generously provided expertise and support to a wide range of of areas and programs.

We are thrilled to have the Dennings with us to share their perspectives on what has been, and continues to be, a very exciting time for Stanford.  We hope you will join us!
