Industry Dinner - Education

Theresa Urist, BA '93, currently serves as the Director of College Counseling at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School.  There, she has developed programming to address the needs of first generation, low-income students in their transition from high school to college.  She has also been involved in college access initiatives on regional and national levels, including the governing board of the New England Association for College Admission Counseling and the Program Advisory Committee of uAspire, a national non-profit that assists students in accessing financial aid resources for college.  In addition, also serves on the Princeton Review's National College Counselor Advisory Board.  Prior to her current position, Theresa worked as a humanities teacher and Director of College Counseling at both Maimonides School and Newton Country Day School. She received her EdM in 1994 at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
