La Traviata is Giuseppe Verdi's classic opera about Violetta, a courtesan, whose love for Adolfo is interfered with by his father, ultimately leading to a tragic conclusion.  Set in mid-1800s Paris, this Italian-language opera (with English supertitles) features famous arias, rich costuming and imaginative sets.

Delight in this fabulous opera, the historic 1878 Central City Opera House, an afternoon in the mountains and the company of fellow Stanford Alumni and friends.  We’ll enjoy chatting together in the lovely shaded and flowering Opera House Garden during the two intermissions.  We'll have even more opportunities to socialize by riding the optional Opera Bus and/or meeting for lunch in a private room at Mid City Grill.
