Elkhorn Slough Safari - Second Date!

$45 for members*, $50 for non-members, and $35 for children (ages 3-12)

Includes the safari, a delicious picnic lunch, snacks, and drinks.

Directions:

- Take Highway 1 to Moss Landing.

- Turn west (toward the ocean) opposite the large smoke stacks onto Moss Landing Road.

- Take the first right onto Sandholdt Road.

- Take the second right into the Moss Landing Harbor parking lot. 

- Purchase a parking permit by the Harbor Master’s Office for $6.

We will meet for check in at the "Elkhorn Slough Safari Meet Here" sign or look for the Elkhorn Slough Safari van.

Safari and Picnic Packing List:

- Remember that weather is variable on the coast. A day that starts warm and sunny can end up windy and foggy and vice versa.

- Layered clothing is best (warm jacket, sweatshirt, gloves, long pants).

- Always bring an extra warm jacket.

- Comfortable shoes, walking or tennis shoes are good (no high heels, please).

- Camera, binoculars (there are binoculars for rent, $2 per cruise)

- Blanket to cover legs or sit on for picnic and safari

- Sports chairs or picnic blanket if you want to sit on the grass instead of picnic tables for lunch

- Pack extra for your guests—you can always leave it in the car.

- $6 for the parking permit plus a little extra if you want to tip our naturalist guide

Notes:

- There are no restrooms on the boat.

- No food on board please. Bottled water is OK.

- If the tour is canceled due to weather, we will reschedule the trip.
