Saltwater intrusion threatens the groundwater aquifers along the Monterey coast. Mapping out the freshwater/saltwater interface will allow us to better understand the distribution of the interface, and engage in proactive groundwater management.  We are using a geophysical method - Electrical Resistivity Tomography - on the beach to see to depths of ~250 m, imaging the location of saltwater and freshwater. The experimental measurements of last fall will be analyzed and presented in this "Part 3" lecture.
