What Women Want – Pay, Promotion and Politics - Discussion with Professor Deborah Rhode, leading scholar on Women and Law

Join Stanford alums for an insightful discussion with Professor Deborah L. Rhode of Stanford Law School about her new book What Women Want – An Agenda for the Women’s Movement.  Pay, promotion, politics and more! Book signing with Professor Rhode to follow discussion and Q & A.

What are the major obstacles the women’s movement confronts? What are its key priorities and what strategies might advance them? Why, despite four decades of equal employment legislation, is women's workplace status so far from equal?  Come and join the exciting conversation with Professor Rhode about these questions, recent gender bias claims in the courts and her views on how women can and should act on what they want. Bring your questions and views!

Deborah L. Rhode is the Ernest W. McFarland Professor of Law, the director of the Center on the Legal Profession, and the director of the Program in Law and Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford University.
