The Cardinal won the PAC-12 Championship and is headed to the Rose Bowl! What does the future hold for head coach David Shaw? Senior quarterback Kevin Hogan? Sophomore superstar Christian McCaffrey? Can the greatest run of success for Stanford since the 1930s be sustained while still adhering to the University's academic standards?

Looking beyond Stanford, can the NCAA amateur model be sustained in light of the billions in revenue generated by the sweat and muscle of student-athletes? Is it tenable for universities to maximize benefits to their football players without paying them as employees?
