The Art Lovers' Society is trying something different and maybe a little crazy: an informal meetup for a FREE public tour at the Hammer Museum in Westwood. Our Stanford group will join a public tour, led by a UCLA Student Art Educator, of "The Idea of North: The Paintings of Lawren Harris." This exhibit was curated by Steve Martin, Renaissance Man, art collector, author, musician, actor and comedian, who has said Lowren's work should be internationally acclaimed. Here is our chance to find out why! Afterward, anyone interested can stroll across the street for a self-hosted woodfire pizza and a glass of wine, where we can discuss whether we agree with Steve. (PLEASE NOTE: Steve Martin will NOT be attending the tour!)
