In celebration of Black History Month, join the Stanford Black Alumni, DC Chapter for a private Chef's Dinner at Smith Commons Restaurant on February 25, 2016 from 6:30-9:30pm . Smith Commons, located on H St in the up and coming Northeast quadrant of Washington DC, is a four-star, zagat-rated restaurant that is President Obama approved. The menu, designed by African-American Executive Chef Kamal Channaka features New American fare, beer & cocktails in a chic converted-warehouse space. Chef Channaka and General Manager Ron McNeill will join us throughout the three course meal to talk about their respective experiences in the culinary world. The cost, including taxes and gratuity, for a private dinner featuring passed hors d'oeuvres and a three-course plated meal with options for the appetizer, entree, and dessert course is $62.00. There are also meat and vegetarian entrees and a suggested beverage pairing (at an additional cost.)
