Hank Greely

The Stanford Law School San Diego Alumni Chapter invites you to have lunch with Stanford Law School's Hank Greely, Deane F. and Kate Edelman Johnson Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Law and the Biosciences. He will discuss his current work and lead what he hopes to be a lively discussion.

Advances in biomedical science undertaken mainly to relieve human suffering now hold the promise, or threat, of giving humans unprecedented control over their offspring - and of the whole world's biosphere. These advances raise some questions that are crucial and pressing, some that are important but far off, and some that none of us should have to worry about. Professor Greely has dealt with issues of human reproduction in his latest book, The End of Sex and the Future of Human Reproduction, and will treat the broader issues of the rest of life in his next book, tentatively titled Playing with Life.

Registration is complimentary and includes lunch. Kindly register by Friday, November 4.

Stanford Law School thanks Robert Caplan, JD '60, and Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek for hosting this event.
