2019 ALL WRITE NOW! Screenplay Competition

RULES:

• Eligibility: Current Stanford in Entertainment Members.
• Entered scripts may not have been previously sold, produced or be currently under option.
• Multiple authorship is acceptable.
• An individual/team can submit one script per category, and at least one writing partner must be an SIE member.
• Scripts must be the original work of the author, 18 years or older.
• SIE recommends registering your scripts with WGA and/or copyrighting your material with the Library of Congress.
• No substitutions of new drafts or corrected pages for script entries will be accepted under any circumstances.
• As part of the contest, every contestant, for each script they enter, must evaluate 3 scripts and write at least one page of page notes and one page of opinion notes per script, one script per week, with the first page of notes due Sunday, August 11th, 2019. If you can’t keep up with the schedule, your script/s will be automatically disqualified. The contestants’ scripts will also be judged by impartial industry professionals. A combination of scores will determine the finalists and winners.
• This evaluation process will determine the top five scripts for each category. The finalists will be announced on August 31st, 2019. They will then enter a second evaluation period scored by non-contestant readers. At the judges’ discretion there may be additional awards granted. The winning scripts will be announced at an SIE event in September or October 2019.
• The winning scripts will then be submitted to various industry professionals, including Matt Liepzig of Original Artists, as well as presented to the Stanford in Entertainment membership at a staged reading by Stanford in Entertainment actors.
