We are excited to present this springtime group tour of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden, a naturally beautiful and tranquil living museum of California native plants. Located within Tilden Park in the hills above Berkeley, California, this enchanting 10-acre garden is a sanctuary for many of the state’s rare and endangered plants and a place for visitors to wander among trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses from plant communities throughout the state. We will enjoy a docent-led garden tour starting at noon and last approximately 90 minutes. This will be followed by a wine and cheese picnic in the park. Space is limited to 28 people and reservations will be taken on a first come first serve basis.

In the garden’s many habitats are species from the High Sierra to the serpentine barrens of the Coast Ranges, and from the northern rain forests to the southern deserts. Flowers bloom every month of the year, reaching a spectacular peak in spring through midsummer. In the fall and winter, the garden is decorated with the vibrant hues of ripening fruits, changing leaves, and colorful twigs. A year-round creek runs through the heart of the garden, adding beauty, creating a riparian corridor, and providing additional habitat for the many birds, insects, and other animals that visit and live in the garden.
