It is with great pleasure that we announce the formation of Stanford’s First-generation and/or Low-income Alumni Network (Stanford FLAN). FLAN is an official alumni community through the Stanford Alumni Association.
Meet with other FLI alumni and current students to build community and connections over brunch during Reunion Homecoming 2019!
FLAN’s vision is to “empower a strong community of first-generation and/or low-income alumni in contributing to our advancement, establishing a respected voice on Stanford’s campus, and leveraging our experiences to enable us to thrive in any environment and leave a legacy of which we can be proud.”
Our mission is to connect, inspire, support, advocate for and celebrate all first-generation and/or low-income (FLI) alumni while cultivating substantive relationships within the Stanford community and highlighting the experiences, perspectives, and achievements of Stanford FLI alumni.

What does "FLI" mean?
FLI stands for "First-Generation and/or Low Income". The unique term was coined by the Stanford student group FLIP (First-Generation and/or Low Income Partnership).
