Toward Gender Equality in the Workplace: The Biology of Power

EVENT ONE: Women and The Biology of Power.  September 25, 6:30 - 8:30 PM @ The Firehouse at Fort Mason. (Hospitality at 6:30, Lecture at 7pm)

CEO, scientist and entrepreneur Janet Crawford will discuss human biological power dynamics as an unconscious force impacting women in leadership. In a sequel to her popular TEDx talk, Ms. Crawford combines neuroscience, psychology, and extensive experience in the business world to delve into how these biological forces impact everyday life along with solutions for how they can be overcome. This lecture is the first of the fall series, “Towards Gender Equality in the Workplace - Biology, Psychology and Action,” sponsored by the Stanford Women’s Club of San Francisco.

EVENT TWO: Female Seeking Startup – Breaking the Barriers to Entrepreneurial Success.  October 16, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, (Hospitality at 6:30, Lecture at 7pm) Room C205 at Fort Mason.

One of the original founders of Match.com, entrepreneur and businesswoman Fran Maier offers her candid advice and practical tips for women overcoming internal and external barriers to entrepreneurial success. This lecture is the second of the fall series, “Towards Gender Equality in the Workplace - Biology, Psychology and Action,” sponsored by the Stanford Women’s Club of San Francisco.

EVENT THREE:  Towards Gender Equality in the Workplace - Biology, Psychology and Action - Roundtable Discussions. November 6, 6:30 - 8:30 PM @ The Hivery, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. (Hospitality at 6:30, Roundtable Discussions at 7pm)

The culminating event of our lecture series focused on empowering women for career and entrepreneurial success, we are partnering with Hivery, the newest women’s coworking space, for an evening of lively discourse, food, and new friends. This event is sponsored by the Stanford Women’s Club of San Francisco.
