Not Your Mother's Book Club October 2019 Meeting

Toni Morrison published her first novel, The Bluest Eye, at age 39 after working as a teacher and editor. Toni wrote ten more novels thereafter and received myriad awards and accolades for her works and contributions to society, including The Pullitzer Prize for Fiction (1988), The Nobel Prize in Literature (1993), the Jefferson Lecture (1996), and the Presidential Medal of Freedom (2012).
