Bradley A. Geier, ‘79
Geier is the co-founder and co-managing partner of Merlone Geier Partners, a private real estate investment company focused on the acquisition, development, and redevelopment of retail and retail-driven mixed-use properties on the West Coast. The company has corporate headquarters offices in San Francisco and San Diego, and four regional offices in California and Washington. Previously, Geier held positions at Taubman Centers Inc., which owns, manages and leases shopping centers in the United States and Asia, and Trammell Crow Co., which develops and invests in commercial real estate.
Geier earned a bachelor's degree with departmental honors in history at Stanford in 1979, and an MBA at Harvard in 1983.
Geier is currently a member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees. At Stanford, Geier has served as a member of the Bing Overseas Studies Program Advisory Council and as co-chair of the Parents' Advisory Board and of the Class of 1979 - 40th Reunion. Geier’s other community work includes serving as a Lifetime Trustee of the Bishop’s School, as a member of the Policy Advisory Board Executive Committee of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate in the School of Business Administration at the University of San Diego, and as a board member of Coaching Corps., a non-profit focused on improving the health, educational and social outcomes for kids living in struggling communities through the power of coaching and sports.
Andrew R. Haden, ‘00
Haden has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California since 2010. In that capacity, he has distinguished himself as a trial lawyer who is passionate about firearms offenses and crimes against children. He is the inaugural Chief of the newly created Violent Crimes & Human Trafficking Section. In that capacity, Haden leads a team of fourteen prosecutors who work cases involving gangs, violent crimes, human trafficking, child exploitation, civil rights, labor trafficking, and federal firearms offenses.
In 2017, Haden was named Trial Lawyer of the Year for the Southern District of California and was one of five recipients in the nation of the Federal Bar Association’s “Young Federal Lawyer Award.” In that same year, he was named one of San Diego’s 40 Under 40 by San Diego Metro Magazine. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, Andrew served for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas J. Whelan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Before law school, Haden served for five years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, which included two overseas combat deployments.
Haden earned his bachelor’s degree in political science at Stanford in 2000 and a JD at University of San Diego Law School in 2008.
Haden is currently the Chair of the Stanford Alumni Association Board of Directors. He has previously volunteered for Stanford as a member of his class reunion committee and is a past-president of both the Cardinal Young Alumni of San Diego and the Stanford Club of San Diego. Haden’s other community work includes leading the Peninsula Family YMCA Adventures Guides Program and working as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego School of Law.
Carol C. Lam, JD ‘85
Lam is a consultant for Qualcomm Incorporated, a mobile technologies firm headquartered in San Diego. She previously served as Qualcomm's senior vice president and Deputy General Counsel for more than a decade, overseeing the corporation’s worldwide legal operations. Before joining Qualcomm in 2007, Lam was the United States Attorney for the Southern District of California, a position to which she was appointed after serving for two years as a San Diego Superior Court judge.
Prior to taking the bench, Lam was an assistant U.S. attorney in San Diego, where she prosecuted major health care fraud and corporate crime cases and served on the Attorney General’s subcommittee on white collar crime. Lam received the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service for her work on major health care fraud cases.
Lam earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Yale University in 1981 and a JD from Stanford in 1985. She began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Irving R. Kaufman on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Lam is currently a member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees. She has served on the Stanford Alumni Committee on Trustee Nominations and the Stanford Law School Board of Visitors. Lam’s other community work includes serving on the boards of the Bishop’s School, the La Jolla Music Society, and the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus. She is a legal analyst for MSNBC.

Howard E. Wolf, '80
Wolf has led the Stanford Alumni Association and its staff since 2001. He is one of eight officers of the University and part of its senior management team, with particular responsibility for advising the University's President and the Provost on alumni affairs. Before his appointment as Vice President for Alumni Affairs and President, Stanford Alumni Association, he worked as both an entrepreneur and business manager in the publishing and commercial real estate development and management industries.
He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology, with distinction, from Stanford in 1980 and his MBA from Harvard in 1985.
An active alum and volunteer, as well as an avid Stanford athletics fan, he received the Stanford Associates Outstanding Achievement Award in 2000.
