Virtual: The U.S. Supreme Court: What Did The Justices Just Decide?

About The Speaker:

Barbara Creed has been leading discussions about the United States Supreme Court for more than a decade. She practiced law in San Francisco for more than 40 years, first as a partner with Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro (where she served as the managing partner of a practice group and as a member of the firm's elected seven-person executive committee), and then as a shareholder at Trucker Huss. In her practice, she specialized in employee benefits and executive compensation, and was a frequent lecturer on employee benefits topics.

Creed was named to the lists of Best Lawyers in America and California Superlawyers for many years. She has served served on the boards of several Bay Area and national charitable organizations. For seventeen years, Creed was a trustee of a $14B diversified financial services organization providing pensions, health coverage and other benefits to clergy and lay employees of the Episcopal Church in the United States, as well as in certain countries in Central and South America, the Caribbean and Liberia. A couple of years ago, Creed retired as chair of the 25-member board.

Creed was graduated from Wellesley College with honors, and magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law where she served on the law review. In 2017, she was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from Church Divinity School of the Pacific.
