A decade before Arthur Brown, Jr., designed Hoover Tower, he created an iconic Moderne-style tower on top of Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, as a bequest to the city from an eccentric heiress.  The Stanford Women’s Club of San Francisco invites you to join us in an exploration of that Art Deco San Francisco landmark, Coit Tower.   We will discover the history behind its creation and design, the controversy created by the early 1930's murals in its interior, and the fight to preserve and conserve those murals for posterity.
