Join fellow alumni this year for our annual Beyond the Farm Alumni Day of Service, we are partnering with Surfrider Foundation San Diego Chapter for a beach cleanup at Moonlight Beach.
Participating in a beach or neighborhood cleanup is a great way to have an immediate positive impact on the environment. By removing trash before it infiltrates our inland and coastal waters, you are helping protect the ocean and marine life from harmful marine debris. Cleanup volunteers collect, identify, and quantify trash to help us understand its origins and composition. This data informs our science, education, and advocacy work to support healthier communities and a cleaner environment.
We welcome all alumni, and their families to join us for a day of service!
Note:
-Please bring your own bag, bucket, and work gloves if you have them.
-Please wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes and sunscreen. All volunteers are welcome to participate and must sign the liability waiver.
-Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the beginning of the cleanup to sign a liability waiver before the minor can participate.
-Parking and Meetup location: Follow B street to the beach and park in the lot on the north end, or find street parking and meet on the sand at the bottom of the ram. Look for the blue pop-up tent.
