Camino de Santiago Walk

see larger map >>

June 8 to 21, 2022

Join religious studies senior lecturer Barbara Pitkin and trail expert Peter Watson to traverse northern Spain on foot, following the Way of Saint James to Santiago de Compostela, as revered today by its walkers as it was by pilgrims in the Middle Ages.

Eat, drink and be thankful. Indulge in local delicacies—olives, hams, cheeses, regional wines—at our gourmet picnics. A hard day’s good night. After a day of walking, rest and unwind in paradors and other characterful accommodations—lodging in renovated historic buildings, convents and medieval pilgrim hospitals. Be enlightened. Join Dr. Barbara Pitkin and trail expert Peter Watson on our journey of discovery of the pilgrimage’s 9th-century origins, with all routes leading to the shrine of the Apostle Saint James.
