December 21 to 29, 2022

Unplug and spend quality time together viewing amazing wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, and in the legendary Serengeti, during the annual Great Wildebeest Migration.

No-phone zone. Leave Siri in the duffel bag since there’s no cell reception in the Serengeti; instead of checking “likes,” check out elephants, giraffes, zebras and more from our open-roofed safari vehicles. This is camping? Enjoy three star-filled nights in the Serengeti in luxury “tents” complete with showers, ceiling fans and four-poster beds! Meeting of minds. Adults attend lectures by our Stanford faculty leader, and kids get a taste of school life in Tanzania, meet their pen pals and hang out with their Young Explorer leaders.

Minimum age: 6
