As requested, and inspired by the extraordinary California Impressionist paintings we saw at the Autry, The Stanford Art Lovers' Society has arranged a tour of the Irvine Museum in Orange Country, with an even more famous collection of beautiful California Impressionist paintings! We will tour The Summer Idyll: Picturesque Views of California. Depending on interest level, we can make a day of it and drive 15 minutes to the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, have lunch there at its well-known Tangata restaurant, and then see their own California Impressionist painting exhibit "California Bounty." Please let me know by answering the question in this registration site--if we have enough interest we can also get a group rate at the Bower.
